The UTARP survey area contains the sites of Boztepe, Talavas Tepe, and Kenan Tepe, as well as numerous other archaeological sites that dot the landscape. Boztepe was excavated and Talavas Tepe surveyed over the summer of 1999, and excavations began at Kenan Tepe in the summer of 2000 (ongoing).
